UNESCO World Heritage site

Lunenburg, Nova Scotia
Take a drive along Nova Scotia's Lighthouse trail and you will come to the beautiful town of  Lunenburg.

Lunenburg, Nova Scotia is a beautiful seaside shipbuilding and fishing town. Lunenburg is most famous as the town where the Bluenose and Bluenose II were built and sailed from.  In addition, it is a Unesco World Heritage site because "Old Town Lunenburg is the best surviving example of a planned British colonial settlement in North America". Lunenburg has a lot to offer its visitors: great shopping, gift stores, art galleries, wonderful dining experiences including some of the finest fresh and local sea food around. There are many beautiful homes to see, full of coloursplendor, and history. In addition to fine chain hotels in the area, there are many other lodging experiences including cottage rentals, Bed and Breakfasts, and small local motels.

Lunenburg is a must see destination for any Nova Scotia traveler.
