That is a great question!
I am the descendant of a true blue BlueNoser. My father was born and raised in Sydney, Nova Scotia to immigrants from Ireland and France. Their history is hard to pin down, but basically they settled in Nova Scotia in the Early part of 1900's and had a very large Family.
In order to have something of a future, my father moved to Ontario, but his heart was always firmly planted in Nova Scotia. Travelling to Nova Scotia was basically our only vacation destination, as my father insisted on showing us the beauty of his home province.
My own love of Nova Scotia developed and grew over the years, and I became addicted to visiting Nova Scotia. I love the scenery, the seafood, the beauty, and the hospitality of the people. There is nowhere I have been that is quite the same as the awesomeness of Nova Scotia.
I have a back ground in Social Media Marketing from Algonquin College. I am employed as a Social Media Manager, working for many small companies helping them manage their social media and online presence to maximize sales, improve business, and grow traffic while engaging with potential customers.
As a very avid traveller, I have a strong passion for all types of travel. I took this love of travel & Tourism, and furthered my education with training in Travel & Tourism from Canadian Tourism College.
I have decided to put my passions together, and create a place where I could share my loves with other travellers to help them discover new places, find great adventures, and enjoy parts of the world they may have never been. I have chosen to create NovaScotiaTraveller because f my deep rooted love for the province. While I do not live in Nova Scotia, I seem to visit Canada's Ocean Playground many times. I have been there during every season, and have found benefits to visiting at any time of year.
I love so much about Nova Scotia, and would love to live there one day, and make Social Media Travel blogging my purpose. There is so much to see and do in NS, and we have a propensity for finding the undiscovered / underrated gems.
What brings me back to Nova Scotia time and time again: the scenery, the ocean, seafood, agriculture, history, culture, and hospitality.
I want to work with Nova Scotia tourism operators, to help bolster their business, attract visitors, and show people from around the world - what I see in Nova Scotia.
