August 7th was National Lighthouse day.
The Nova Scotia Coastline is dotted with many lighthouses all across the province.
The most famous and most visited lighthouse is the Peggy's Cove Lighthouse, but one of my favourite Lighthouses in Nova Scotia happens to be in Louisbourg, on the southeast coast of Cape Breton Island.
In addition to being a gorgeous lighthouse, it has a spectacular view surrounding it. From the spot where the lighthouse stands there are amazing cliffs where the ocean waves crash upon, the Fortress of Louisbourg can easily be seen from across the bay.
If you are ever in Cape Breton, be sure to visit Louisbourg and her lighthouse as part of your trip. You will not be disappointed.
